Delivering Infrastructure in Central & Eastern Europe
Atrium Infrastructure is building the leading infrastructure manager in EU member states in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) , Western Balkans and neighbouring countries including Ukraine as they integrate with the EU. The initial focus area, the EU member states in CEE constitute a high growth region in the EU with significant infrastructure requirements
Key Themes for Infrastructure in the Region
Significant transformation of the local ecosystems and social infrastructure is ongoing as a result of convergence to the EU standards and institutional structures. The countries in Central and Eastern Europe are experiencing GDP growth, on average, higher than the other EU member states. This convergence story offers investors opportunity to participate in the growth of the region.
There is a massive need for capital in all infrastructure sectors: energy, transport, digital, healthcare,, water and waste management, district heating, social infrastructure and urban regeneration.
Circular economy themes also provide opportunities to deploy capital in areas such as recycling and biofuels driven by increasing EU regulation.
